The coronavirus pandemic has changed our lives in ways we never thought possible and important events have had to be put on hold due to social distancing rules.
But couple Anthony Lach and Chris More, were not going to let a global pandemic get in the way of achieving their dreams.
The couple received news from their adoption agency that five or six years ago they never thought would be possible for a same sex couple, they told MSN News.
“The best news in the world. They said ‘hey get on a flight to Arizona, we have a baby waiting for you,” Chris said.
Baby Parker was in the NICU unit and his mom had decided at the last minute to put him up for adoption.
But this sweet baby boy had some serious medical complications and spent 12 days in the NICU.
“As soon as we saw him we said ‘yes no matter what, he’ll get through it” Anthony added.
“There definitely were some closed doors in terms of people not wanting to give their child up to a same sex couple, but I thought we have just as much love and passion about raising a child as anyone,” Chris said.
The adoption ceremony was held over Zoom and the couple said they hope to adopt a sibling for baby Parker in the future.
This couple are a wonderful example of not letting obstacles and other people’s views get in the way of their dreams.
Please share to wish this family all the happiness in their future together.
